How Participant Replacement Works

If a confirmed participant drops out, cancels or does not attend, DLYTE supports a replacement process so your study can continue.
A replacement may be needed when:
When this happens, DLYTE marks the study as needing a replacement and sends your team an email notification.
The study then returns to recruiting. Replacement is not automatic. Your team chooses who to accept.
You can select a replacement from:
Once accepted, the replacement participant moves through the same session flow: time confirmation, reminders, consent before joining and session participation.
Participants who cancel late or fail to attend may have a reliability event recorded against their profile. This can reduce their priority in future matching.
A replacement may be needed when:
- A participant is marked as a no-show
- A participant cancels
- A booking is cancelled and the study still needs another participant
