How Participant Identity Verification Works

DLYTE requires all participants to verify their identity before they can book any research session.

Verification is completed through phone and SMS confirmation. Each participant must validate a real mobile number as part of their account setup. This is enforced at the platform level. Participants who have not completed verification receive an error when attempting to apply for or book a moderated session.

There is no way to bypass this step.

This check helps reduce fake, duplicate and low-accountability accounts from reaching your study. It ensures that the people you speak to are reachable, traceable and accountable, not anonymous entries who signed up with an email address alone.

Verification is separate from profile completeness. A participant who has verified their phone number but has not completed a sufficiently detailed profile will still not qualify for studies that require specific matching criteria.

Together, identity verification and profile completeness mean that by the time a participant appears as eligible for your study, they have already passed two distinct accountability checks.

Participants who show low-quality or unreliable behaviour after verification, including no-shows, incomplete tasks or inconsistent responses, can have their platform access reduced or removed.
